She designed a collection of bags and accessories in leather with a style inspired from her leisures for fashion and music.

The L.A bag is a vinyl shape bag transformable in an half moon... Made of leather or simili with bright and rock colours!

I met Anne Christine Wirth during a fashion show at the Carreau du Temple in the Marais district of Paris.

I was imediately attracted by the colorful and mixture of materials in her cloth collection. Superposition, reversable and interchange characterize her cutting. In between modernity and old fashion frame: a successful mixture of style!

A new concept store in Paris

After the success story Bonpoint, Marie-France Cohen open in Paris a new store baptised: Merci
First the building in itself is impressive: 111 bld Beaumarchais in the 3rd quarter of Paris with a verenda open in a paved courtyard offering a very bright space of 1 500 square meters with 10 meters under roof.

Both a window of its time and a place to leave, dedicated to fashion and home decoration. Literary coffee, flower shop and a chic cantine.... A selection of eclectic, unexpected and accessible... which is a mixture of precious object as well as ordinary ones, some furniture of the past and piece of contemporary designs...

It is not only the name of Nirvana album but of a new concept of sales imagined by designers with this temporary shop opened during this summer in the full heart of Paris (Metro Etienne Marcel) and joining together young Parisian labels.

Black BASIC, Vanessa Dee, Chapter Two, Rene Talmon the Army… present their collections for man and woman from accessory, to clothing as well as unique piece of art within a studied retro-modern atmosphere.

This collection is elaborated with simple and subtle materials. Barbara likes painting and travelling, she brings back from Japan printed papers and quickly finds her style: the jewel featherweight: the paper jewel.

Her collection is colourfull, estival and always very refined, delicate...

She has just created a special line for little girls! It is very lovely!

Every saturday, Bastille is the place of meeting for creators, designers to expose their collections.

Creations in various fields are there: jewel, accessory, mode, painting, sculpture…

Among the exhibitors my two very favorites for their handmade and unique piece of art are:

Eliz'art Nature reveals its jewels

This young designer specialised in the ethnic jewels takes her inspiration in nature. She is an expert in the art of mixing natural matters to polymeric paste in "trompe l'oeil" style: pigments, ribs, carving, patina… which perfectly imitate the wood even if you touch it!

A talent in art to deliver beauty by nature and to offer us its elements: collars, loops, pins, bracelets and rings…

U-NI-TY or the mixity of styles for men

U-NI-TY is a Franco-Italian mark created in 2004 which revisits the traditions of the Thirties to design with elegance a relaxed and casual male silhouettes. A beautiful exercise of styles mixing modernity and vintage, nonconformism and authenticity, humour and arrogance.
My favorite is this splendid wool waistcoat with architectural design.

M-Y: customisation of home furniture

Ingenious artist who recycles pieces of furniture given by their owners or who searches and finds potentious items in sales deposits. M-Y likes to listen to her inspiration for customising pieces of furniture and to give them a new life. Cupboard, table, office, chair, mirror… she cleans, arranges and gives again a patina and essence to aged, used and obsolete woods. She even sometimes goes up to the transformation. I let to you discover her work through these pictures….

After a dip cleaning and the restoration of the top, to give back beauty and majesty to this table, M-Y has chosen a pretty red acrylic colour to paint it and added some touch of gold brush to underline the sculptures.

It is during its various travells in Asia that Christy Guillemot takes her main sources of inspiration: historical traditions, ethnic coloured costumes, majestic universe of the tales...

Netza Collection

From her past experience as a wardrobe tailor for the opera of Bastille, her creations are today linked with this imaginary universe and legendary characters. Her collection is characterized by simple and structured shapes fitting in harmony with comfortable materials.

Wool, polar and cotton give body to her very authentic collection, sometime pastel, sometimes colourful.

An easy and relaxed style, very feminin with a touch of originality and simplicity… I am fan of this small tops (tee-shirt, tunic or dress) made of cotton nicely decorated with a flower pin!
